Kirk or Picard?

Sorry for not posting anything for a long time (longer than usual). I've been busy with one other project and I also lost the motivation for web development for a while there. Anyways, I'll try to get back on track.
For the past week, or so I've been upgrading my rig a little bit. I had a Celeron D 351 (3.2GHz), now it's a Pentium D 820 (2.8GHz). GPU was some ATI on-board crap, and now I poped-in NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS 512mb. And also new CPU cooler, which brings us to the next item.
As you surf the net, you see a lot ads. Some are more eye catching than others. Companies spend big bucks to make theirs the most unique and eye appealing. But do some go overboard?
Evony - a massively multiplayer online real time strategy game has a very interesting ad campaign floating around the net. The main focus of their ads are pair of breasts. My guess is they are so desperate for traffic, so they switched to "Sex sells" strategy.
Large percentage of people still use IE6, I never got why. That thing is full of security flaws, doesn't follow W3C rules, and is long past its due-date. If you ever designed a website from scratch, you know how annoying M$ Internet Explorer 6 is (7 can be a pain sometimes too).
Web developers/designers have to spend hours writing hacks, so that piece of crap browser rendered their CSS properly. And let's not forget PNGs, that thing will butcher them like there's no tomorrow.
